Starting Classical Ballet - Weekly Classes for those new to Ballet

All our ISTD/RAD professionally qualified teachers are Criminal Records (CRB) Checked. We often have classroom assistants to help in our younger classes as well as the teacher. The class can continue running whilst care and attention can be given to those with a particular immediate need. These assistants are often students on our teacher training courses.

Late Start Ballet & Special Starter Class for Older Students J Especially suitable for those who have not taken dance classes before. 1 weekly class at Southampton Dance Studios. For Boys and Girls aged 12 upwards. Joining times throughout the year. Based upon Imperial society ISTD structured ballet syllabus but with mixed grade work addressing individual / group needs relevant to ages and abilities. Classes taken by professionally qualified ballet teachers specialising in the needs of Teenage students. Teaching standards continuously moderated. Every students progress individually assessed. Optional fast track student grade progression leading to students continuing with higher grade examination classes. Approximate student numbers for this class = 11. Late Start Ballet is a beginners class for students of secondary school age who have missed out on starting dance classes early. It enables each student at their own pace to catch up on the early years without having to attend "Baby Classes". Students can optionally take exams and move to the higher student dance grades when appropriate. This class is much enjoyed by a fun loving group of students, who are serious about gaining proper dance technique, but missed out on grade classes when younger.
